Since 2008, Adrien Gardère and Reiko Sudo , one of Japan’s preeminent textile designers, have designed and completed four installations of Koinobori (‘carp streamers’ in Japanese): Koi current in Kennedy Center of Performing arts in Washington DC, 2008 – Koi current in Musée Guimet in Paris, 2014 – Koinobori Now! in National Center of Arts in Tokyo 2018 – Swimming Koinobori in Oita Art Museum, Japan, 2018

A new installation is held at CHAT(Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile) in Hong Kong along with a solo exhibition of Reiko Sudo which presents her creative process through sketches, drawings, raw materials and design prototypes, as well as a video.

Studio Adrien Gardère has designed an immersive installation of over 80 koinoboris, made from Sudo's fabrics, swimming in the air. Saito Seiichi of Rhizomatiks Architecture, based in Tokyo, designed the multimedia devices.
