The future Lusail Museum, designed by architects Herzog & de Meuron on Al Maha Island, the birthplace of Qatar’s founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, is a window onto the East, highlighting the history of the representation and influence of the Orient in the arts, from Antiquity to the present day.
Alongside the design of the preview exhibition “Lusail Museum, Tales of a Connected World”, Qatar Museums entrusted Studio Adrien Gardère with programming the museum’s future permanent and temporary exhibition spaces.
The studio contributed to the development of the curatorial narrative, the grouping and dialogue of collections, and defined the visitor routes across the museum’s various spaces and levels.
