The Last Photo brings together artworks from the Estrellita B. Brodsky Collection that explore photography as a medium in constant transformation, at the crossroads of truth, memory, and representation. Inspired by Rosângela Rennó’s eponymous series, the exhibition symbolically marks the end of the analog era and questions the evolving nature of the image: how can images be fixed, preserved, or revealed nowadays?
The exhibition invites visitors to move freely through one of the Grand Palais galleries. The artworks are presented in close dialogue with the architecture, as lines, openings, and perspectives actively shape the experience. Architecture becomes an integral part of the exhibition’s narrative, highlighting photography as a construction of meaning, suspended between presence and absence.
Conceived as a succession of layers, the exhibition unfolds progressively as visitors navigate around and through the space. Each step reveals new perspectives and fosters an ongoing dialogue between the works, encouraging a personal and evolving experience of The Last Photo.
