Charlie Chaplin: A Vision is a new major retrospective dedicated to Charlie Chaplin 20th-century and career. Presented at the Yuz Museum Shanghai and conceived as an international project, the exhibition was co-produced by the Musée de l’Elysée Lausanne and the Yuz Museum Shanghai in collaboration with the Cineteca di Bologna.

The exhibition reveals the modernity and the timeless character of the work of the one of most influential performing artists and film directors of the 20th century, through the presentation of more than 350 photographs & memorabilia and over two hours of film clips within a 1000 m2 exhibition space.

Guided through a thematic and chronological path, the visitor is invited to discover a new perspective of Charlie Chaplin’s work. Built over a shot/counter shot approach, the exhibition presents Charlie Chaplin's life and career. By a subtle evocation of the historical contexts, the scenography deploys various periods which shaped the artist and his artistic and international legacy.
