Studio Adrien Gardère

In the perspective of setting cooperation and interaction projects between France and Indonesia in the design sector, the French Cultural Center of Surabaya director, Olivier Debray, is ordering French designer Adrien Gardere to design a chair for its auditorium and classrooms. The design of this chair will be using local Indonesian materials, crafts and know-how, referring itself to Indonesian history of furniture, and furthermore taking in account specifically traditional uses and manners.
